Be aware of the presence of an automatic weather station standing on the "usual" scooter track to Geopol, about 330 m West of Papphytta. At the moment the mast is poorly signalized with reflex tape.

Crevasses on Uvêrsbreen

Crevasses have been spotted on Uvêrsbreen, on a hill in the middle of the glacier (red circle).

The picture is taken from Edithbreen, North of Uvêrsbreen. 

The crevasse area can easily be seen with binoculars.

Temporarily closed area, West of NYA

NERC station has an instrument in the field on the small hill between Schetlig mountain and Brandal.
Please avoid driving snowmobile close to the instrument. Black flags are put up to mark the closed area.
